All Souls Day falls on April 4th 2009 – Ching Ming.

The meaning of Ch’ing Ming is Clear and Bright and in fact is one of the Twenty-Four Joints and the Breath of the year. It heralds the changing weather which comes just after the start of spring.
This year as the date of festival falls on Saturday the 4th April, as expected large numbers are going back to their respective hometown of where their ancestors were buried. For the convenience, in order to avoid the heavy traffic and crowd, some will pray ten days earlier or ten days later from the actual date, but this is only recommended to those being dead after three years.

The Chinese beliefs an auspicious day to start a new event or business symbolizes a new good beginning.
